Employ-Mend is committed to excellence and innovation in developing employee health solutions which deliver measurable results through close working partnerships with our clients. In the increasingly complex and litigious area of the workplace our goal is to ensure that the diversity of all parties' needs are catered for in a clear, concise and equitable way. The overall aims are prevention of sickness, absence and disability and a positive attendance culture through an effective system of employee health management.
Employ-Mend was launched in April 2000 and is part of a family of companies where the controlling management team has built a reputation for innovative business development activity within the healthcare sector since the early 1980's.
Using specially developed audit tools Employ-Mend completed Total Cost of Absence/Disability Studies for four large Public Sector employers (Unitary and County Councils) between 2001-2003 and a NHS Trust in July 2003 involving a total population of the order of 60,000 employees. Similar studies were also completed for private sector clients and as part of the subsequent implementation of new strategies Employ-Mend has provided support in the specification and management of tenders for occupational health services and employee assistance programmes as well as the design of absence policies and procedures.
Based on the findings of this period of healthcare consultancy Employ-Mend's Absencia absence management service was launched in September 2003 providing the platform necessary for the delivery of a truly integrated basis of employee health management.
The unique Employ-Mend consultancy service seeks to provide a seamless, one stop service by facilitating access to the often diverse strands of specialist knowledge necessary to resolve the problems associated with a particular incidence of employee incapacity or at a more strategic level, to guide a restructuring of corporate policy.
