EAP Tender design and management

Employee Assistance Programmes are fast becoming one of the core components of an organisation's employee health strategy. Over the last 10 years the prevalence of stress and mental health related problems has increased dramatically as have the employer's obligations to monitor and supportively manage such problems.

What is an Employee Assistance Programme ("EAP")

An EAP service has two main components: a 24 hour/365 days a year telephone based support line for employees and their families which covers a wide range of topics from personal issues to debt problems and, where the call indicates that a higher level of assistance is required, this may be followed by a series of face to face counselling sessions (maximum typically 6 to 8 sessions).

Occupational health tender design and management

Traditionally Occupational Health ("OH") has been based on a combination of case management (eg. longer term sickness absence employee assessments) and preventative strands (eg. pre-employment questionnaires, flu vaccinations). More recently this role has been extended to include a more proactive approach to employee health and wellbeing (eg. wellness programmes)
